The Boomerang Express...

We've been pretty busy and it all pretty much started last week! Last Sunday, we had a huge spaghetti luncheon at the church for the youth group- that was fun but took a lot of preperation. We also spent the day before that at the church building sets for the Boomerang Express Vacation Bible School theme... and on top of that, Lawrence preached a joint sermon on Sunday morning with Pastor Chris!

It was a long weekend- but that was just the beginning. On Sunday, after the luncheon, we stayed at the church to begin putting up the sets for VBS- then about 5pm we jumped in the car and headed to Myrtle Beach, SC for family vacation with Lawrence's side of the family. We had a great time in Myrtle (we stayed in the same hotel that we stayed in on our honeymoon last year!) but we didnt get a lot of alone time because Lawrence's brothers went with us almost everywhere- but that was ok...nice to spend some time with them. We did get one night together and went to Broadway at the Beach and watched fireworks and walked around in the shops.

We headed back home on Wednesday afternoon with Lawrence's brothers Dustin & Daniel and Dustin's girlfriend Kristin. We went straight to church for a crazy youth group meeting and then dropped Kristin off at home (after taking Dustin to apply for a job at Cookout and Smithfields!)

Dustin and Daniel stayed with us until Monday morning and we put them to work. The VBS stuff still needed a lot of work, so we were there all day Friday and Saturday- we didnt get home Saturday until after 11!... but it was all done for Sunday morning!

Heather left to work a camp at Campbell on Sunday and will be gone until Thursday- spending the night! She has to miss the VBS festivities this week- but it's ok! Lawrence on the other hand, will be hanging out with the 3rd-5th graders! It's gonna be craziness!

Caswell is two weeks away!!!!!!! We are both really excited.... look for more blog posts about the summer... we want to keep everyone up to date... haha... those who actually read this...!
